2018 Erasmus+ K103

Henallux has been participating in the Erasmus programme and the cooperation programme for many years. It has built up a strong international partnership in Europe and worldwide. By signing the Erasmus Charter, Henallux has confirmed that its participation in the programme is part of its own strategy of modernisation and internationalisation.
With the mobility of its students and staff and its participation in European and international cooperation projects, Henallux is improving the quality of its own teaching programmes.

Henallux's strategy states that some students and staff seek the most complete change of scenery, while others prefer to keep their landmarks. In order to meet these very diverse expectations, Henallux offers a wide choice of host institutions, providing a wide variety of educational, linguistic, cultural, environmental and social backgrounds.

Sixty-nine students participated in a Erasmus mobility (54 studies mobility and 15 training placement) Thirty-seven were female and thirty-two male. Four of them came from families with social and economical difficulties. The mobilities took place throughout Europe, mainly in Finland, the United Kingdom, Spain, France, the Netherlands and Denmark. These countries were chosen because of the attractiveness of courses in English and the specific culture of the country.

The Erasmus + programme enables Henallux to put on the job market more open-minded and tolerant young professionals. They are able to adapt, learn independently, find solutions in difficult contexts and cooperate in teams.
They have developed their language skills and can make better use of the Internet, social networks and the IT environment for their work and personal activities.

Thirty-five staff members participated in a Erasmus mobility (12 teaching and 23 training mobilities). Twenty-seven female and eight male. Erasmus mobility enables staff members to improve their job satisfaction, to acquire skills specific to their sector and their professional development, social, linguistic and/or cultural skills. They learned from good practices observed abroad, strengthened collaboration with partners, consolidated and broadened their professional networks by creating new contacts.

The Erasmus + programme enables Henallux to bring to the labour market young professionals who are more confident, open-minded, tolerant and able to adapt to new institutions. The Erasmus + programme has also increased
the University College's visibility at the level of the academic hubs of Namur and Liège-Luxembourg, in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, abroad and among partners in the other Belgian communities.
