2020 Erasmus+ international K107
In the Healthcare field of study, the result goes beyond our expectations, with nearly 250 students taking part in an educational activity initiated by the partners over the 2 academic years. According to the satisfaction surveys carried out internally and via the Erasmus online reports, the feedback from participants is unanimously positive. The mobility ( Morroco to Belgium )students is a real opportunity for them to obtain a visa, develop their practical skills on placement sites and compare their knowledge with that of Belgian students and teachers. They also come to Europe to discover the culture. Without this programme, it is unlikely that these students would be able to come to Europe to upgrade their training. Exchanges between Belgian and Moroccan students during the various teaching activities help to deconstruct stereotypes and enrich each other's culture and knowledge. In health-related professions, this exercise in cultural decontextualisation and resilience forms the basis for equitable and respectful patient care. We can conclude that mobility will benefit both the development of students' skills and the quality of the healthcare they will be providing (9 SMS MA-BE, 10 STT BE-MA, 4 STT MA-BE).
In the Education field of study, the exchanges have helped to promote a reflective approach to teaching, to the perception of the challenges, objectives, resources as well as on the strengths/weaknesses of the training actions. Teachers from both institutions have been able to cross-check different curricula with a view to developing new teaching processes centred on the theme of global citizenship. This has enabled student training programmes to be adapted and improved. In addition, as a result of the exchanges, the students (BE and MA) have acquired teaching reflexes that incorporate training in philosophy and citizenship in various disciplines. A survey (questionnaire + interview) helped to relaunch the dynamic of exchanges and projects, by identifying areas of collaboration, common objectives and new synergies.
The partnership has evolved. Four specific areas of collaboration have been identified. A working group has been set up for each area: area 1, Physical Education and Sport (4 ST BE & 3 ST MA), area 2, French Language (2 ST BE & 5 ST MA), area 3, University Pedagogy (3 ST BE & 3 ST MA), area 4, Teacher Training (Primary/Secondary, 3 ST BE & 5 ST MA). In addition to these four specific areas, five cross-cutting areas have been identified: area 5, blended learning, area 6, employability, area 7, interculturality, citizenship (cross-sector micro-projects, student projects, etc.), area 8, international symposium, area 9, needs analysis/reforms. These cross-cutting areas correspond to interests shared by all the people involved. Visits to Morocco have also encouraged mutual reflection on teaching practices. For Belgian trainers, the benefits will influence the new training programmes (the Teacher Training Reform).
For teachers from both institutions, the partnership has developed professional expertise, resulting from a combination of different curricula to create a dynamic of new teaching processes building ,centred on reflexiveness, differentiation and the language of schooling. Both Morrocan and Belgian staff members (either sent in and out ) visited primary and secondary schools. Workshops on disciplinary and methodological issues were held with teachers from these institutions. This period also saw the kick-off of the Hénallux ESEFB (Ecole Supérieure de l'Education & de la Formation de Berrechid) partnership. This project is based on a typology of soft skills, gradually built up jointly by the various partners.
In the Technical field of study, the introduction of the joint degree programme was completed and formalised by an agreement between the two institutions. As soon as the agreement was signed by the Directors-Presidents, a campaign was launched to promote this double degree to students from both institutions. At the start of the 2023 academic year, Hénallux will welcome the first two Moroccan students enrolled in the joint degree programme. This agreement will enable Belgian and Moroccan students to sign up for this programme on a yearly basis (3 STT In, 4 STT OUT).
